Reading

Reading for me has never been something I enjoy doing in fact I push it back to the last minute and try to find summaries on it before the test. When a teacher says book I think to myself is there a movie. The last time I fully read a book because I enjoyed it was a picture book in first grade. Getting assigned a four hundred page book to read was a nightmare but of course my communication teacher gave us options I chose Lone Survivor since I had seen the movie. Our second test on the book is coming up and my teacher said she would ask us a question to see whether we read the book or watched the movie. Now the test is tomorrow and I have only got past a couple of pages but since I am feeling lazy after writing this blog I will just go on Youtube and look up a book and movie comparison to have somewhat of an idea of the different things that happened in the book and the movie. I passed all of high school doing something similar to this so hopefully it works tomorrow too. If it does not...

College classes

At first I thought college was simple, easier than high school as the classes are shorter and are not every day. These expectations were blown away since teachers have to fit in a years worth of work in a small amount of time meaning more studying which I have trouble doing and more work that I usually do last minute. In most of my high school classes my teachers were great at teaching making us learn the subject. Since I took statistics in high school and passed the class with ease I thought that taking it in college would be just as simple. The teacher helps us understand the subject but is strict with everything which means I completely failed two of my quiz's. Even if you know the subject and forget a small detail she marks you off for it. I couldn't fail a class I had already passed before so I studied before our test even though it was only half an hour it helped me remember everything I had learned helping me pass the test ( still got marked down 20% because I didn't...

Planning for next Semester

I know we are barely half way through the semester but it is time to start planning for the next semester. My Criminal Justice teachers have already sent the class to receive our advising appointments. As a Criminal Justice major most of our classes are planned and we receive emails about the classes we should take John Wittman really helps out getting us the permission codes we need to get the classes that we want. The four year plan we did in English helped out with what I need to do to graduate but I feel like I needed more time to put classes that I would actually take. For next year I will continue to take later classes as it has worked out thus far I sleep later than usual but can wake up later because of that which is a gift as I would not want to wake up at 5:30 like some of you do. Picking teachers is difficult so using rate my professor really helps me narrow down my options because I don't want a teacher that gives out homework just because they feel like it and ...

Car problems

European cars are a beauty they can be some of the best looking cars on the road but can also be one of the most expensive ones to fix up. About a week ago I took my car to the shop as it had the check engine light on for over a week now and found out that it cost over three thousand to fix it. The Audi had a faulty o2 sensor and a torque converter that apparently needed to be replaced. My car still runs great but my dad has a cousin that has a shop where we can probably do the work on it for less than five hundred dollars if it doesn't work out ill just have to buy a new car. Cars are really important as most of Stan state students drive to school a good car is important to have. I do not regret buying the car and if it does break down I am still going to buy another sports car the speed they have is just not comparable to other cars. My dad will probably want me to buy a Honda since he has one that he has put a little less than half a million miles on it. In my opinion Honda'...
